THERE . 135 W 26 St. 9B. New York, NY 10001
On View September 6 to 27, 2025
“From the ancient Greek for ‘good voiced,’ euphony in poetry refers to the pleasing harmonious arrangement of sounds in language… Euphony is, in essence, the musicality of poetry. It often evokes positive emotions in the reader or listener and can contribute to the overall mood or atmosphere of a poem.” (The Poetry Foundation)
Extended as a metaphor for painting, it refers to the feeling and atmosphere created by the arrangement of paint- of colors, marks, and shapes. Euphony brings together six young artists who, working through very different ideas, share a coherent sensibility, a feeling for their material that borders on the musical.
